Stirling Properties Welcomes Amazon to Fremaux Park in Slidell, Louisiana

Continuation of industrial expansion efforts in Fremaux mixed-use development

Amazon Logistics announced Thursday that it would build a delivery station at Fremaux Park in Slidell, Louisiana. Fremaux Park is the mixed-use property that includes Fremaux Town Center retail center, multiple multifamily developments, two hotels and the Dana Corporation Service center that will complement this project in the industrial park area.

Stirling Properties recently closed on the sale of a 30-acre land parcel for the construction of the 141,000-square-foot Amazon facility located at 1914 Town Center Parkway near the intersection of Old Spanish Trail. Groundbreaking and construction timing will be announced soon. The facility is expected to be open in early 2022.

Ryan Pécot, Senior Retail Leasing and Development Advisor with Stirling Properties, represented the landlord in the transaction.

Packages are shipped to delivery stations from nearby fulfillment and sorting centers and loaded onto trucks for final delivery to customers. This marks the first Amazon delivery station in St. Tammany Parish and the third in Louisiana. It is expected to house roughly 950 Amazon Prime vans to serve St. Tammany Parish and surrounding communities. There are 150 similar Amazon delivery stations across the U.S. Amazon said the new station would create hundreds of full- and part-time jobs.

Exciting Residential Improvements Coming to River Chase & Fremaux Town Center Multifamily Properties

Stirling Properties announces exciting new residential improvements planned for the Retreat at River Chase in Covington and Retreat at Fremaux Town Center in Slidell’s multifamily apartment communities. The $1 million upgrades will be spread across both properties with an emphasis on enhanced residential amenities and revitalized common spaces.

Construction work has begun on the installation of state-of-the-art seafood and grill stations. Large pavilions will be erected and equipped with grills, seafood boil space, and granite counter tops with built-in waste receptacles for discarded seafood shells. The space will also include lounge areas with fire pits and yard games. The pool area will be upgraded to include a more resort-style setting with furniture, landscaping and pull-down projection screens to watch sporting events. All amenities will be accessible for residents of the properties on a first come, first served basis.

Additionally, parcel pending lockers, also known as “smart” lockers, will be installed in central areas of the facilities to collect delivered packages and e-commerce orders for residents. A property manager will receive all deliveries, assign the packages to an individual lockbox that alerts tenants of the delivery and provides a digital access code for easy, convenient retrieval. The lockers are designed to eliminate clutter due to the overwhelming amount of daily delivered packages to residential properties and to provide an extra layer of security for parcels otherwise left unattended on doorsteps. 

Work has already commenced on the projects, and anticipated completion is planned for the end of March.

Stirling Properties and CBL Properties are pleased to announce that Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar is coming to Fremaux Town Center mixed-use development in Slidell, Louisiana. This marks the 2nd Northshore location for the award-winning, family-friendly restaurant and bar.

DBMC Restaurants, dba Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar, recently closed on the purchase of 1.5 acres of property located at the corner of Fremaux Avenue and Town Center Parkway, near the entrance to the retail center. Construction on the site began last month. The restaurant will occupy approximately 8,000 square feet of space and is expected to open in June of 2019. DBMC Restaurants is a veteran restaurant group that currently operates three restaurant brands across six states. It is one of the largest franchisees of Walk-On’s with growth plans to add four more restaurant locations this year.

Stirling Properties and St. Tammany Parish community leaders celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Dana Incorporated (NYSE: DAN) Service and Assembly Center at Fremaux Park in Slidell, Louisiana. Stirling Properties is developing the nearly 32,000-square-foot industrial facility located at the corner of Town Center Parkway and Old Spanish Trail for Dana. The new site will house the relocation and expansion of its service and assembly center, which specializes in repairing and refurbishing large-scale industrial gearboxes. The company’s current operations in Slidell will transition to the larger facility to meet the growing demand for industrial gearbox service, repair, and refurbishment.

Pizza Platoon has leased 2,500 square feet of restaurant space as part of a new building suite that was recently constructed on the east side of Levis Lane, across from LensCrafters.
