Demolition Underway at Hammond Square
Making way for exciting new developments for the retail center.

Stirling Properties commercial real estate company announced that demolition is underway at Hammond Square shopping center in Hammond, Louisiana, to make way for an estimated $15 million redevelopment project, and the addition of 4-5 new tenants and restaurants.
The recent store closures of Sears and Rite Aid at Hammond Square presented an opportunity to refresh the development and replace these stores with roughly 90,000 square feet of new retail and restaurant space, which will be complementary to the existing tenant mix and attractive to customers. Both buildings will be demolished and the newly constructed buildings will be reconfigured to face either I-12 or Hwy. 51.
Demolition work commenced in early March and construction on the new space will begin immediately after. The redevelopment is expected to be complete in early 2020. Stirling Properties’ leasing team is currently in conversations with several regional and national retail tenants and restaurants that are interested in the redevelopment.
Also new to Hammond Square, Old Navy is still on track to open this spring. Buildout and expansion of the store are currently underway, and the company has begun hiring employment. Old Navy will occupy 12,500 square feet of space on Palace Drive between Zales and Shoe Dept. Encore.

It is the 2nd largest open-air center in Louisiana encompassing over 902,000-square-feet of more than 40 national and local retailers, shops and restaurants, including Dillard’s, Target, The Home Depot, JCPenney, Academy Sports+Outdoors and AMC Theatres. Pizza Platoon has leased 2,500 square feet of restaurant space as part of a new building suite that was recently constructed on the east side of Levis Lane, across from LensCrafters. Build out is underway for the space and the eatery plans to open in the summer of 2018. Kay Jewelers occupies the additional 2,000 square feet and opened this past Wednesday.
Previously announced, Rock N Roll Sushi will celebrate its grand opening soon. European Wax Center is now open.
Ruth Garrett Way, a new road that connects Town Center Parkway and Bill Garrett Road (I-10 Service Road), opened for public access late this summer. This new infrastructure will provide access and utilities to open up another 50+ acres for development including the upcoming Springhill Suites.
Springhill Suites by Marriott is still on track to begin construction early next year and plans to open in the fourth quarter of 2018. The four-story hotel will have 88 rooms and will be located on the south side of the shopping center at the corner of Ruth Garrett Way and Bill Garrett Road.

The center includes approximately 635,000 square feet of retail and restaurant options, as well as Springs at Fremaux Town Center’s 296 luxury residential apartment units, and Springhill Suites by Marriott soon under construction. Additional phases are coming soon with added residential, retail, and office park.

Exit 16 and Rock N Roll Sushi Join Tenant Lineup at Fremaux Town Center in Slidell, Louisiana
Stirling Properties and CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. are pleased to announce and welcome new tenants to Phase II of Fremaux Town Center in Slidell, Louisiana.
Exit 16 women’s clothing boutique has leased 2,223 square feet of space and opened for business last weekend. This marks the 2nd retail location for the Mississippi-based company.
Rock N Roll Sushi will occupy 2,040 square feet of space and is also expected to open early next year. This is the 2nd Louisiana location for the sushi restaurant franchise.
