Renovations Bring Championship Play to Golf Enthusiasts and University Club Plantation Residents

University Club RedesignBATON ROUGE, Louisiana – Stirling Properties, the management firm for University Club and the exclusive sales and marketing firm for University Club Plantation, celebrates the newly renovated 18-hole championship golf course. PGA Pro David Toms unveiled the redesign yesterday at a special event for University Club Plantation residents, club members, and those interested in membership. Attendees of the September 16th event saw firsthand how the renovations transformed University Club into a course unlike any other in the Southeast.

The renovation project began nine months ago through the support of the LSU Golf program and the Tiger Athletic Foundation. Nationally renowned golf course architect, Jim Lipe along with David Toms designed a course that now includes a new set of championship tees, expanded lakes, the addition of over 500 trees, and a par 72 layout that extends to approximately 7,600 yards. Adding these features will test a player’s accuracy, allow members to play from distances that match their skill level, and provide challenging options for collegiate, amateur and professional tournament play. Based on the course plans, the NCAA has named the University Club and the LSU Men’s Golf Team as hosts for the 2013 NCAA Division 1 Regionals.

University Club Plantation’s newly renovated 18-hole golf course at University Club is just one feature that makes living in this prestigious, master-planned community appealing. Additional Features include private swimming and tennis facilities and a grill room for food and fellowship. Limited home sites are still available so for more information or to schedule a tour, contact Lenore Roberts at (225) 767-4653.
