About Townsend
Townsend Underhill is a driving force behind Stirling’s success, serving as its President and Chief Executive Officer. With an illustrious journey spanning two decades at Stirling, Townsend’s leadership has been instrumental in propelling the company’s growth across diverse product types and strategic areas, including development, new business development, acquisitions, corporate strategy, asset management, and client services.
Townsend holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia, specializing in Real Estate and Entrepreneurship. His academic foundation also includes a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Real Estate from Arizona State University. Licensed as a Real Estate Broker in Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, and Kentucky, his expertise and insight in the industry are truly far-reaching.
Acknowledged for his outstanding contributions, Townsend has earned accolades such as Chain Store Age Magazine’s “10 Under 40” in Real Estate, the 2016 St. Tammany Chamber Board Member of the Year, and distinctions like the 2023 Junior Achievement Rising Star and the 2023 Biz Magazine’s recognition among the Most Influential and Involved Business Leaders in the New Orleans area.
Beyond his professional achievements, Townsend actively engages with various industry and business organizations, contributing his insights and leadership. In 2026 he was appointed to the ICSC Board of Trustees. In addition he serves on the board of Greater New Orleans, Inc. (GNO) and the MC Bank Board of Directors, exhibiting his commitment to driving impactful change in both local and regional communities.
Townsend’s dedication to mentorship and education is evident through his active involvement in academic discussions and mentoring programs aimed at nurturing the next generation of real estate professionals. He shares his expertise as a guest speaker at numerous industry events, including engagements with ICSC, ULI, Leadership St. Tammany, and various Chambers of Commerce.
Outside the office, Townsend finds joy in an active lifestyle with his three children and remarkable wife, indulging in activities like golf, skiing, wakeboarding, swimming, and tennis. His extensive affiliations and certifications, including his roles in ICSC, Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Louisiana Chapter, involvement in the Tchefuncta Club Estates Board, and leadership in the St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce, underscore his commitment to professional excellence and community development.
Grady Brame
About Grady
Grady Brame joined Stirling in 1982 and has over 40 years of real estate experience. As Executive Vice President, he is responsible for the Asset Management and Property Management departments for the company. He is also accountable for the asset management functions for more than 4,000,000 square feet of retail, office and self-storage properties, including the financial reporting functions, property management, lease negotiations, budgeting, real estate taxes, lender relations and financial reporting to partners. He is also a member of Stirling’s Executive Leadership Team.
Mr. Brame previously served as Controller and Vice President-Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Asset Management before moving to his current position.
Before joining Team Stirling, he worked as a certified public accountant with the International Accounting Firm of Ernst & Young in Houston. He is a member of the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a past Treasurer of the Hammond Chamber of Commerce and a past president of the Hammond Exchange Club, the Tangipahoa Parish Chapter of the Louisiana State University Alumni Association and the Louisiana Golf Association.
Mr. Brame graduated from Louisiana State University in 1979 with a degree in Accounting.
Donna F. Smith
About Donna
Donna F. Smith is a Partner with Stirling and serves as the Asset Manager of a portfolio of properties owned by third parties, which includes the responsibility for property and construction management, leasing, financial reporting, budgeting, financing and refinancing, contractual compliance and general client interface.
Before joining Stirling, Mrs. Smith was a Leasing Executive with Woodmont Development (New Orleans Galleria) and a paralegal with the law firm of Seale, Macaluso, Ross and Daigle in Hammond, Louisiana. She is a Certified Public Accountant, holds a Master of Business Administration degree from SLU, a 2002 graduate of the Louisiana Realtors Leadership Program, a CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member), a CRX (Certified Retail Real Estate Professional), and a Notary Public for Tangipahoa, St. Helena, Livingston, and St. Tammany Parishes. She was selected by New Orleans CityBusiness as one of the 2004 Women of the Year and was Tangipahoa Chamber Annie Awards recipient in 2025.
She currently serves on the Southeastern Louisiana University College of Business Board, the CREW National Office Council and the Holy Ghost Catholic Church & School Development Committee.
Her past organizational services include Board Member and Secretary for The Disposable Heroes; Chairman of the Board for Hammond Chamber of Commerce; Past Member of the Southeastern Louisiana University Accounting Advisory Board; Past President of New Orleans C.R.E.W. (Commercial Real Estate Women); Northshore Council of Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center; Gulf Coast Business Council; the Hammond Special Olympics of Louisiana Spring Fundraising Committee; Past President of the SLU Alumni Association; Past President of The Richard Murphy Hospice Foundation; Past Board Member of the Tangipahoa Association of Retarded Citizens; Past Director on the Board of the Directors of the Castlewoods, Annandale, Cypress Lake and Bridgepointe Subdivisions in the Jackson, Mississippi, metro area; and a past member of the Business and Industry Committee of the Louisiana Realtors Association.
Mrs. Smith holds Louisiana and Mississippi real estate licenses and has been in the real estate business for over 40 years.
Paul Mastio
About Paul
As CFO of Stirling, Paul Mastio is responsible for the property management and corporate aspects of the company’s accounting functions, tax planning, accounting operations, and reporting. He manages the technology department, working with the CTO to evaluate and implement software systems and infrastructure. He oversees the HR function and leads the employee benefits decisions. He is also involved in coordinating company processes and proposing and implementing changes to procedures and policies.
Before earning his accounting degree in 1991 from Southeastern Louisiana University, Mr. Mastio joined the firm of Schoen and Company, CPAs in Baton Rouge, LA. He received his CPA designation in January 1993 and then joined Stirling Properties in June of 1993 as Corporate Accountant. He was promoted to Controller in 2000 and then CFO in 2003. In 2012, he was named a partner within the company.
Mr. Mastio is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants (LCPA). He was named Outstanding CPA in Business and Industry by the LCPA in 2022. He has served as President of the PMAS Accounting System Users Group, which hosted an annual conference to educate and improve the function of the accounting system. Mr. Mastio now serves as a member of the Yardi Property Management Systems Users Group and has guided other former PMAS users to the Yardi system. He is also a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP).
Being involved in the community, Mr. Mastio was co-chair of the 2021 Special Olympics Over the Edge fundraiser after being a participant in 2020 and previously served as a Board Member in his church in Covington, LA. In addition, Mr. Mastio has coached his children in basketball and served as a Den Leader for Boy Scouts of America. He is a previous member of Stirling’s Stewardship Committee and was part of the team that created the annual Stirling Olympics, a company-wide event to raise money for nonprofit organizations. He continues to be a resource for the Stewardship Committee and stays involved with the Northshore Community Foundation. Mr. Mastio resides in Madisonville, LA, with his wife and two sons, with a daughter studying at LSU, a son studying at SLU, and another son working at UMMC in Jackson, MS.
Paul Mastio serves as Chief Financial Officer of Stirling Properties, where he oversees the company’s accounting, tax planning, financial reporting, and corporate operations. His responsibilities span both property and corporate accounting functions, including operations, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. In addition, Paul manages the technology department in collaboration with the Chief Technology Officer, helping evaluate and implement software systems and infrastructure that support the firm’s operations. He also oversees the Human Resources function, including employee benefits strategy, and plays a key role in coordinating company-wide processes and implementing operational policies and procedures.
Prior to earning his accounting degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1991, Paul began his career with Schoen and Company, CPAs, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He earned his CPA designation in January 1993 and joined Stirling Properties later that year as Corporate Accountant. He was promoted to Controller in 2000 and subsequently to Chief Financial Officer in 2003. In recognition of his leadership and long-standing contributions, Paul was named a partner of the firm in 2012.
Paul is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants (LCPA). In 2022, he was honored by the LCPA as Outstanding CPA in Business and Industry. He previously served as President of the PMAS Accounting System Users Group, which hosted an annual conference focused on advancing the effective use of property management accounting systems. Currently, Paul serves as a member of the Yardi Ambassador Program and has supported former PMAS users in their transition to the Yardi platform. He also holds the Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) designation.
Active in both community and company initiatives, Paul co-chaired the 2021 Special Olympics “Over the Edge” fundraiser after participating in the event in 2020. Paul resides in Madisonville, Louisiana, with his wife and one son. His family also includes four adult children, including a daughter and a son currently studying law and finance at Louisiana State University, a son pursuing licensure as a plumber, and a son working in medical research.
Justin C. Landry
About Justin
Mr. Landry joined Stirling Properties in October 2007. He currently serves as Stirling’s Senior VP of Development & Finance.
As Sr. VP of Development and Finance, Mr. Landry is tasked with the oversight of the extremely active Development, Acquisition and Finance Teams with Stirling. He has a deep understanding of investments, development, debt finance, and acquisitions. Since 2007, Mr. Landry has placed over $2.0 billion in interim and permanent financing. Additionally, over the course of his career, he has been involved in over $2 billion in Development and Acquisition projects.
Mr. Landry graduated in 2007 from Louisiana State University in Finance with a Concentration in Real Estate. During his time there, he was also a pole vaulter on the Track & Field Team where he received the Athletic Directors Cup for the achievement of academic excellence as a student athlete. He holds the prestigious Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) designation.
Outside of Stirling, Justin enjoys spending his free time being present with his wife and three children. Justin and his wife, Tayler, enjoy a very active life and do their best to teach healthy habits to their children.

Will Barrois
About Will
Will Barrois joined Stirling in 2002 and serves as Vice President and Manager of the Advisory Division, an area that includes Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Northwest Florida. Located in Stirling’s Mobile, Alabama, office, Mr. Barrois oversees all aspects of the company’s Advisory and Investment Sales division and is a qualifying broker for Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.
Before transitioning to Alabama, Mr. Barrois served as a Senior Advisor at Stirling in the Covington, Louisiana, office for 12 years. There he specialized in tenant representation and investment sales throughout the Gulf South region.
Mr. Barrois is a graduate of Louisiana State University and received a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He resides in Fairhope, Alabama, with his wife and two daughters.
