1. Information We Collect
When you are onboarded as a Stirling employee, we collect your mobile phone number through our HR platform, UKG, for the sole purpose of enrolling you in the Stirling SMS Notification System. Providing a mobile phone number as part of the onboarding process is required for participation in this system.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your mobile phone number is used exclusively to send you urgent, time-sensitive operational notifications. These notifications may include alerts related to:
- Severe weather affecting Stirling office locations
- Unplanned office closures
- Active safety situations requiring immediate employee awareness
- Server or technology system outages
- Phone system outages
Messages are sent manually by Stirling’s Human Resources department. This system is not automated and is used only for legitimate operational continuity and employee safety awareness purposes.
3. Mobile Number Non-Sharing Policy
Stirling does not sell, rent, lease, trade, or share your mobile phone number with any third party for marketing, promotional, or any other commercial purposes. Your mobile number is used solely for internal operational notifications as described in this policy. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties.
4. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies. You will only receive messages when a qualifying operational event occurs that requires immediate employee notification. There is no set schedule or regular cadence for these messages.
5. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier messaging rates apply to all SMS messages sent through this system. Please contact your mobile carrier if you have questions about your plan.
6. Opt-Out
To opt out of receiving SMS notifications, reply STOP to any message you receive from this system. Upon receipt of your STOP request, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent to your number. You may also contact Stirling’s Human Resources department directly to update your contact preferences or re-enroll at any time.
Please note: Because this system is used exclusively for time-sensitive operational notifications that may affect your safety or work, opting out means you will not receive critical alerts. We strongly encourage employees to remain enrolled.
7. Help
For assistance, reply HELP to any message or contact Stirling’s Human Resources department directly. Standard carrier message and data rates may apply.
8. Data Retention
Your mobile phone number is retained in UKG for the duration of your employment with Stirling. Upon separation from the company, your number will be removed from the active notification system in accordance with Stirling’s standard HR data retention procedures.
9. Security
Stirling takes reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your mobile phone number and personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
10. Changes to This Policy
Stirling reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be communicated to employees through appropriate internal channels.
