SMS Notification System – Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your participation in the Stirling SMS Notification System. By providing your mobile phone number during the onboarding process, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
1. Program Description
The Stirling SMS Notification System is an internal communications tool operated by Stirling’s Human Resources department. The system is used exclusively to deliver urgent, time-sensitive operational notifications to Stirling employees, including but not limited to:
- Severe weather affecting Stirling office locations
- Unplanned office closures
- Active safety situations requiring immediate employee awareness
- Server or technology system outages
- Phone system outages
2. Consent and Enrollment
Enrollment in the Stirling SMS Notification System is part of the employee onboarding process at Stirling. Consent is collected during onboarding through UKG, Stirling’s HR platform. By completing onboarding and providing your mobile phone number, you consent to receive SMS operational notifications from Stirling’s Human Resources department.
Employees may also opt in at any time by texting JOIN to the designated Stirling notification number or by contacting the Human Resources department directly.
3. Eligibility
This program is available exclusively to active Stirling employees. Messages are not sent to members of the public, clients, tenants, or vendors through this system.
4. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on the occurrence of qualifying operational events. There is no guaranteed minimum or maximum number of messages per month. Messages are only sent when HR determines that immediate employee notification is warranted.
5. Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Stirling is not responsible for any charges incurred through your mobile carrier as a result of receiving messages through this system. Please contact your carrier for details about your plan.
6. Opt-Out Instructions
You may opt out of the SMS Notification System at any time by replying STOP to any message received from this system. Upon opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent to your number.
You may re-enroll at any time by texting JOIN to the designated Stirling notification number or by contacting Human Resources directly.
Please note: Opting out means you will not receive time-sensitive notifications that may affect your safety or require an immediate response. Stirling strongly encourages all employees to remain enrolled for the duration of their employment.
7. Help
For assistance with the SMS Notification System, reply HELP to any message or contact Stirling’s Human Resources department directly at [HR Phone Number] or [HR Email Address].
8. Non-Automated Messaging
All messages sent through the Stirling SMS Notification System are composed and sent manually by authorized members of the Stirling Human Resources department. This system does not use automated telephone dialing systems or pre-recorded messages.
9. Delivery Disclaimer
Stirling makes reasonable efforts to ensure timely delivery of SMS notifications. However, Stirling cannot guarantee delivery, as it depends on factors outside our control including mobile carrier availability, network conditions, and device settings. Employees should not rely solely on SMS as their only source of time-sensitive information.
10. Non-Sharing of Mobile Data
Stirling does not sell, rent, or share employee mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with any third party for any purpose. Your mobile number is used solely for the internal operational notification purposes described in these terms.
11. Modifications to the Program
Stirling reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the SMS Notification System at any time. Any material changes to these Terms of Service will be communicated to employees through appropriate internal channels.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
