Joe Gardner, CCIM
Joe Gardner joined Stirling Properties in 2008 after graduating from Southeastern Louisiana University with degrees in History and Literature. Having found a passion for real estate, Joe began the CCIM curriculum in 2009 and achieved the prestigious designation in 2015.
Presently, Joe is responsible for leasing over 1.5 million square feet of retail space in Louisiana & Mississippi. In this capacity, he works extensively with national, regional and local retail concepts. His experience and knowledge have led him to work on several top-tier retail projects including Mid-City Market in New Orleans, Old Metairie Village and Oakridge Shopping Center in Metairie, Fremaux Town Center in Slidell and The Julia in the Warehouse District of New Orleans.
In addition to his landlord representation, Joe has worked extensively with retailers in a tenant representation capacity. This experience allows Joe the insight required to see through the needs of both the landlord and the retail concept furthering his knowledge and experience. Joe has worked with Family Dollar, Mooyah Burgers, UFC Gym, and Planet Fitness to name a few.
Joe also works with several premiere developers on new projects. For example, he was instrumental in the development of the Gentilly Shopping Center, a 32,000 SF retail development in New Orleans, that is now home to Dollar Tree, Foot Locker, Kid’s Foot Locker, rue21, and Wingstop.
Joe is a member of ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers), RBN (Retail Brokers Network), and NOMAR (New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors).
Prior to his real estate career, Joe proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise CVN-65 and was awarded the prestigious National Defense Medal.
