Mr. Stirling, a principal of Stirling Properties, has been active in the real estate and development field for the past twenty years. He founded Stirling & Associates in 1981, a commercial brokerage and management firm based in New Orleans. In 1988, the firm was merged into and became part of the Maurin-Ogden Companies, presently doing business as Stirling Properties.

Mr. Stirling graduated from Louisiana State University in Construction Engineering. He is a licensed real estate broker in the states of Louisiana, Georgia, Mississippi and Alabama and has received the professional designation of Counselor of Real Estate (CRE), and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS). He has also received the designation of Senior Certified Shopping Center Manager (SCSM) and Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS) from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Mr. Stirling serves as an Arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD). He has been designated by both the federal and state court as an expert witness in real estate matters. He serves as the real estate consultant to the Canal Street Development Corporation, a public benefit corporation owned by the City of New Orleans.

He is also active in community affairs in New Orleans. He is currently Ex-Officio of New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors (NOMAR), Director of Gulf South Real Estate Information Network (GSREIN) and Director of the Louisiana Association of Realtors. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Commercial Investment Division of New Orleans Board of Realtors (CID). He is past President and Director of NOMAR and past President and board member of the Greater New Orleans Executive Association. He is a past member of the Young Leadership Council, Building Owners and Managers Association, Bureau of Governmental Research, World Trade Center, St. Tammany Board of Realtors®, Baton Rouge Board of REALTORS®, and Lafayette Board of REALTORS®.  He also has served as the ICSC Louisiana State Idea Exchange Program Chairman.
