Mr. Songy serves as Executive Vice President of Stirling Properties. He is also a Managing Partner of Maurin-Ogden, LLC which has developed or re-developed over 30 projects since its inception in 1975. These properties are primarily anchored retail shopping centers located throughout the middle Gulf South.

Mr. Songy played an instrumental role in developing the property management operation of Maurin-Ogden, having served as the first President of Maurin-Ogden Management Company.

Before joining Stirling Properties, Mr. Songy practiced law with the Baton Rouge law firm of Sanders, Miller, Downing and Kean. His law practice involved representing various lenders and closing loans for residential and commercial properties.

Mr. Songy graduated from LSU in 1971 in Political Science following which he graduated from LSU School of Law with a Juris Doctorate in 1974, having served on The Law Review.

Mr. Songy is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Louisiana Realtors Association, and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He has received the professional designation of Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) from the ICSC. Mr. Songy has served as President of the Corporate Board of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Hammond, President of the Veritas Foundation of this school. He has also served as a Lay Trustee of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Mr. Songy is a Co-Captain of a retreat group at the Manresa House of Retreats in Convent, Louisiana, sits on the Manresa Endowment Board,  and is a Former President of the Board of Manresa.
