Professional Profile

Mr. Pecot joined the Stirling Properties team in 2001 and is a sales associate of the Commercial Brokerage division. Mr. Pecot currently spends the majority of his time in the Lafayette office, but did spend over two years working out of Stirling's New Orleans' CBD office.  Because of his ties to both markets, Mr. Pecot has expanded his territories of focus along the I-49/HWY 90 corridor and I-10 west of Lafayette.  Specific markets that he concentrates on include; Lafayette, New Orleans, Lake Charles, Alexandria, Pineville, Houma, Thibodaux, and all of the smaller municipalities between the afore mentioned trade areas.

Mr. Pecot primarily focuses on the retail sector, especially tenant representation. He also works selected retail oriented landlord representation, property sales, & leasing while providing market analysis and sales and leasing strategies to all clients. Successes in the disposition of dark big-boxes and large anchor spaces has kept him focused in that area, while small-shop tenant leasing remains a viable portion of his pipeline.

More specifically, Mr. Pecot has represented and identified successful sites for national retailers such as Walgreens, Eckerd's, Rasing Canes, Wingstop, Planet Beach, Quizno's, Spirit Halloween, and Verizon Wireless.   A partial list of transactions that Mr. Pecot has completed to bring value to the landlords that he represents include Wal*Mart, Lowes, Home Depot, Circuit City, Staples, Dollar Tree, Harbor Freight, Texas Roadhouse, Subway, Taco Bell, Hibbett's Sports,  Maurice's, Little Caesar's, AT&T, the Honey Baked Ham Company, and Amedisis.  In addition to the above mentioned larger retailers, he also understands the intricacies of the local tenants in each respective market, allowing for proper placement on both the landlord and tenant representation side.

Mr. Pecot graduated in 2000 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Law. He is the final stage of candidacy to acquire the prestigious CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation.  Mr. Pecot has also worked closely with the Stirling Properties Development Committee; which coordinates the development, redevelopment, and acquisition of properties in the retail, office, medical, golf and residential sectors.   He also is a contributing author to the development column of the Acadiana Business, which is monthly insert to The Independent's weekly publication.
