Stirling Properties Appoints Two New Board Members for 2010

Monday, February 1st, 2010

We are pleased to announce that Robert (Bob) Feldman and Mark Salvetti have been elected to serve on the Board of Directors along side Jimmy Maurin, Roger Ogden, Marty Mayer, Chip Songy, Lewis Stirling, and Grady Brame.

"Bob and Mark were selected because they bring together an outstanding balance of real estate, legal, and industry expertise," said Jimmy, Chairman of the Board.  "Their hands-on experience and local understanding of our market will bring added depth and perspective to an already motivated and progressive group of individuals".

Bob Feldman has been an advisor to Stirling Properties for over 20 years and was elected by the board in November to serve a three year term.  In 2009, Bob retired from Weil, Gotshal & Manges, an industry leading law firm  with over 1,300 lawyers worldwide, having founded the Dallas, Texas office in 1987. Currently, Bob works as an Adjunct Professor at UCLA Law School.  He has been admitted to practice before the state Bar of Texas; the State Bar of New York; the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, written articles for and has given lectures to legal and business groups regarding real estate, bankruptcy, finance and ethics issues and has served on numerous charitable and professional councils within his community.  Bob earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University, and is an honors graduate from the University Of Texas School Of Law.

Mark Salvetti, Director of Project Management, was elected to the board at the December Forum Meeting and will serve a one year term.  With over 23 years experience in Residential and Commercial Construction and a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management from Louisiana State University, Mark has been instrumental in the overall management and direction of numerous construction projects.  Some of these accomplishments include the coordination of the new Interchange at 1-12 and Brewster Road in Covington, development of the Borders bookstore on St. Charles Street in New Orleans, and his ongoing construction of several Walgreens drugstores across the state.  Prior to joining Stirling, Mark was Director of Construction for Safeguard Self Storage in Metairie, Senior Project Manager (PM) for Carl E. Woodward Inc. in New Orleans, Senior PM with MAPP Construction in Baton Rouge and PM/Estimator with J.B. Mouton, Inc. in Lafayette, Louisiana.

"We look forward to the addition of these two gentlemen to our board.  They will bring many years of experience, insight, and perspective to Stirling which will be so valuable during these times of significant change," said Marty.
